The University of Genova, on a proposal by the CPO, approved in July 2022 an amendment to the Student Contribution and University Benefits Regulations which, starting from the 2022-23 academic year, grants a 30% partial exemption on the third university instalment to student caregivers - those providing assistance to family members with disabilities - as defined by the 2018 Budget Law (Law no. 205 of 2017, art. 1, para. 255). The same benefit has also been extended to natural student caregivers, meaning parents (including adoptive parents) of children up to 36 months of age. To access the benefits, the applicant's household income, as certified by ISEE-U/ISEE-UP, must not exceed €50,000.
