The Equal Opportunity Committee funded a research grant with the title Positive Actions to Combat Gender-Based Violence at the University of Genoa.

The research project aims to implement the actions set out in the PAP 2021–2023 and the GEP 2022–2025 concerning the fight against gender-based violence. These actions are intended to improve the well-being of those who study and work at the University and are consistent with international, European, as well as national regulations and policies on equal opportunities. In particular, the pervasiveness of gender-based violence represents an obstacle to personal autonomy and full individual development, especially for women. Given the central importance of cultural and preventive dimensions, the research seeks to develop proposals for actions and interventions to be implemented at the University of Genoa, taking into account, within a comparative and multidisciplinary framework, the experiences already developed at other universities in Italy and abroad.
