The Equal Opportunity Committee (CPO) works in close contact with the Guarantee Committee for Equal Opportunities, Non-Discrimination and the Well-being of Workers (CUG), an internal administrative body established under Law No. 183 of 4 November 2010 (Art. 21), which the University of Genova set up by Director General's Decree No. 19 of 13 January 2014 and reconstituted by Director General's Decree No. 2160 of 5 June 2020.

The CUG is a joint body, both in terms of gender balance and overall composition. It consists of equal parts of members nominated by trade union organisations and representatives of the Administration.

A member of the CPO attends each CUG meeting and vice versa, enabling the exchange of good practices and the development of shared initiatives to combat inequality.
