Courses about Gender Studies

The Committee has promoted the introduction of gender studies courses across various undergraduate degree programs, particularly in those preparing future teachers, social and legal professionals, psychologists, and medical practitioners.

The goal is to foster the acquisition of knowledge on the complex issue of gender inequalities, with the aim of making younger generations more aware of the stereotypes and asymmetric power relations that continue to shape our society (including scientific contexts). It also seeks to contribute to a more informed understanding and interpretation of the individual and social problems arising from gender inequalities and, more broadly, from discriminatory situations, through the activation of dedicated courses or modules in gender studies.

Several gender studies courses have been part of the UniGe educational offer for several years, and the number of courses continues to grow.
