On the occasion of the International Day of Women in Mathematics May12, on Friday 15 May 2026 the Mathematics Women Festival 2026 will be held in Genoa, curated by the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) Committee of the Italian Mathematical Union (UMI) and the Department of Mathematics of the University of Genoa. The event has been sponsored by the CPO.

Silvia Villa and Sara Garbarino will present their studies and their experiences as women mathematicians. After a moment of mathematical games and puzzles, curated by the students of the master's degree course in mathematics of Genoa, we will listen to young female mathematicians who will tell us their story. To conclude the morning, there will be a game moment featuring a version of the famous Guess Who? in which the characters are figures of women mathematicians in history. The meeting is aimed at students of the three-year period of secondary schools of second degree.
